“Candace Camera, My Favorite Drag Queen” by Beverly Fesharaki
Candace Camera, My Favorite Drag Queen
His dramatic shape
shoulders wide enough to support tears
legs from here to heaven
arms reaching to an audience in awe
His compulsion structures
Her
sustains the force of the She
life size large
from Barbra to Bette
the magic of his design
takes us where idols dwell
makes us believe lies true
we laugh
we dance
we want to touch her
