"facebook as a grave" by Cameron Gorman

facebook as a grave

the internet ate you
more than the earth ever did
and nobody noticed
that of all 30 pictures
left of you online
I only took one

the closest one
the one that showed
the lines around your mouth
while you slept

and your sister isn’t online
anymore and so your face
is still beaming on a beach
as if this were a slide
viewer keychain

and the internet has held on
to your words for dear life
and that is so unfair
you are always saying

So my phone is dead as a football.
Dovetail. Doornail.
But I was wondering err ring
if you'd be able to visit sometime?
I'm in Ohio and miss you lots.
